Hans-Joachim Gehrke is a Professor Doctor.
During the period if time 1987-2008 he was professor of Ancient History, Albert-Ludwigs-University, Freiburg, previously having taught at the Universities of Göttingen, Würzburg, and the Freie University, Berlin.[1][2] From 2008-2011 he was President of the German Archaeological Institute.[3][4]
